  • Budget increases for law enforcement personnel
  • Talks are beginning on how to slow parolee traffic into the A.V.
  • Hired a crime prevention officer to head up its neighborhood and business watch programs.
  • The Target Oriented Police Team (TOP) is doubling its presence in 2007 to eight deputies plus a sergeant.
  • A recent Sheriff's Department Warrant sweep of the Antelope Valley resulted in the arrest of 137 individuals.
  • On December 12, 2006, Lancaster officials approved an innovative new public safety program. Under the program, citizens who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of a person or persons who have committed a robbery or burglary within the City of Lancaster can receive a $1,000 reward.
